I cleared CCA 175 on 18th Jan 2019 with 8 out of 9 correct answers. I would like to thank Durga for detailed explanation of each topic in the course and Arun for providing relevant material in his blog.

It would be helpful if the below doubts are clarified

  1. Does Spark2-shell was available?
  2. how did you handle avro ? did u import using com.databricks.spark.avro._
  3. any streaming/flume questions were there?
  4. any spark-submit/conf question were there?
  5. whether hive context was enabled by default? so that u can directly use
    spark.sql(hivequery)
  6. codec compress lib was available?? so that you can directly use the io.compress libs in option and sqoop import?

I used python with spark 1.6 so I am not sure if it is available.

Avro package is already imported in the cluster.

No

What type of hive quest you got??

one more I am having plan to take exam this week but as the requirement screen resolution of my laptop not matching, mine is 1360 x 768 and requirement is 1200x800

can you let me you this will it be any issue, just verifying your screen resolution through which you attempted exam

Hi Rakesh,

My screen resolution was 1920 X 1080.Also, for Hive focus on accessing Hive metastore from Spark SQL.
