CCA175 Announcements

Cloudera updated the exam environment earlier this week to CDH5.15.
Spark 2.3 is installed as well as Spark 1.6.

You can always check the versions of the environment by scrolling to cluster information of the exam page:

Exam delivery and cluster information

CCA175 is a remote-proctored exam available anywhere, anytime. See the FAQ for more information and system requirements.

CCA175 is a hands-on, practical exam using Cloudera technologies. Each user is given their own CDH5 (currently 5.15.0) cluster pre-loaded with Spark 1.6, Spark 2.3, Impala, Crunch, Hive, Pig, Sqoop, Kafka, Flume, Kite, Hue, Oozie, DataFu, and many others (See a full list).

The commands “pyspark” and “spark-submit” continue to be the Spark 1.6 version.
The commands “pyspark2” and “spark2-submit” are the Spark 2.3 version.
No environment changes are necessary, they are both installed and live.

What’s the default spark version it uses when I type pyspark in exam ?
Does Cloudera expect me to set variable to access specific version ?

Note that available Cloudera VM “cloudera-quickstart-vm-5.13.0-0-virtualbox” does not have spark 2.3 it sill uses spark 1.6

Great! Thanks and appreciate clear answer.
