Hive-delims-replacement not working

#1

As part of practice I am trying to play with the default delimiter while importing mysql into hive.
I am trying use “xxx” as delimiter. Tried so many ways the below command… no luck.

Could you please share a working command for overriding delimiter (is there a way to use different delimiter override for columns and line ?)
Thanks in advance for the help.

sqoop import
–connect jdbc:mysql://ms.itversity.com:3306/retail_db
–username retail_user
–password itversity
–table order_items
–hive-import
–hive-database jayshawusa_sqoop_import
–hive-table order_items
–hive-overwrite
–hive-delims-replacement “xxx”
–num-mappers 2

@jayshawusa Refer below code

sqoop import --connect jdbc:mysql://ms.itversity.com:3306/retail_db --username retail_user --password itversity --table orders --hive-import --hive-database testbalu1 --hive-table order --hive-overwrite --hive-delims-replacement "xxx" --num-mappers 2
