Import and export data from two diffrent machine using sqoop?

#1

me and my friend, both we have cloudera installed in our machine and I am trying to import and export from our machines, cloudera to cloudera and the inverse, and from cloudera to windows.

in my local machine, its working fine using :
sqoop import
–connect “jdbc:mysql://quickstart.cloudera:3306/mysql”
–username=root
–password=cloudera
–table db
–as-textfile
–target-dir=/user/cloudera/targetfile
I tried to execute the next command:
sqoop import
–connect “jdbc:mysql://Myfriend’s cloudera_IP_addresse:3306/mysql”
–username=root
–password=cloudera
–table db
–as-textfile
–target-dir=/user/cloudera/targetfile

I replaced my IP addresse with my friend’s IP addresse but its failed.
java.sql.SQLException: Access denied for user ‘root’@‘192.168.100.42’ (using password: YES)
