Past Spark-Shell in labs

@itversity

What happens to my spark-shell in case of putty session close ( on my timeout or system getting into sleep mode). Will it be still in running mode which I can launch with the same spark.ui.port=12078 or it was force closed after session terminal timeout.

Regards,
Venkat

@venkatwilliams If it is a time out or sleep mode then it will be killed along with other long running sessions. End your practice sessions properly for better performance.

#3

when you say end is it ‘Ctrl+D’ you are talking? How to spark session that’s running on user configured port number.

#4

@venkatwilliams you can use either Ctrl+d or exit to end spark session even it is configured on a particular port number.
