CDH Installation on 4 Node Cluster (Virtual Box)

Hello All,

I am trying to setup a 4 Node Cluster on Centos7 in Virtual Box.

CDH Version : CDH-5.10.0-1.cdh5.10.0.p0.41-el7.parcel
CentOs Version: CentOS Linux release 7.3.1611 (Core)

I was able to 100% download the required CDH 5 Parcels but after that process struck and not proceeding forward further with the distributed, unpacked and activated.

I do see that /var/log/cloudera-scm-agent/cloudera-scm-agent.log have the following
self._init_after_first_heartbeat_response(resp_data)
File “/usr/lib64/cmf/agent/build/env/lib/python2.7/site-packages/cmf-5.10.0-py2.7.egg/cmf/agent.py”, line 947, in _init_after_first_heartbeat_response
self.client_configs.load()

return self._parse_alternatives(alt_name, out)

Traceback (most recent call last):

Did anyone face this issue during the CDH Installation. If so please share the resolution.

I could not find any appropriate solution in the cloudera Community.

Try to setup using packages and see if it will resolve the issue.

@itversity yes planning to do installation Path B

@itversity I have uninstalled the Cloudera Manager and also removed open JDK by using
yum remove java*

Installed the CDH on Master node then later added rest of the data nodes as Hosts without any issues.

Do you recommend any specific video to do a better Role assignments. At this moment, master Node has most of the Roles but I want to share the responsibilities with other data nodes as well.
