Hi @itversity @Sohail

Could someone please suggest me on my query.

did you start the cloudera manager service by using the shortcut present in the desktop?

@email2dgk, desktop? I have installed it on one of my VM.

 Cloduera Quickstart vm desktop. After installing, did you start the cloudera Manager service (its a one time activity)

I haven’t started any service because it was not mentioned in the video anywhere. Could you please tell me how to start this

Please click “Launch Cloudera Express”. It will start the Cloudera Manager Service

Could you please guide me where can I find the this “Launch Cloudera Express”. There is no shortcut on my desktop like this.

HI @itversity @Sohail

Could you please help me to get the solution of this issue. after installation of cloudera manager, web interface is not working.

Hi @Shivkant

Please check if your webservice is running on VM

service httpd status

if it is running then on your browser give the ip of your VM Master and see if Apache GUI opens.

If not running then start it by “service httpd start” and verify by above step

Then from your Windows IE or Chrome try to login to Cloudera Manager, exmaple below

Change the IP above to the Master node. If doesn’t work then check if VM is listening on port 7180 using below command

netstat -na | grep 7180

If it is not listening, restart VM, make sure httpd is ON, wait for 10 minutes and then check port 7180 status again.

The log file to monitor cloudera manager is /var/log/cloudera-scm-server/cloudera-scm-server.log

Hi @Sohail

My httpd service was running properly and Apache GUI is also opening without any errors.

My VM is not listening to port 7180. I have restarted it but it didn’t work.

If you want I can share the log file: /var/log/cloudera-scm-server/cloudera-scm-server.log

Hi @Sohail
