Cloudera | No default databases in Hive, Impala, though can see databases in mysql

I am using Cloudera. Could see default databases and tables in mysql but Hive, Impala, Hue everything is showing empty.

I tried to do invalidate metadata in impala-shell, also tried - hdfs hadoop fs -rm -r /user/hive/warehouse/* , latest i tried - mysql> create database database DEFAULT CHARACTER SET utf8; and mysql> grant all on database.* TO ‘user’@’%’ IDENTIFIED BY ‘password’;

But all in vain, am I missing something, how can I resolve this issue. I appreciate your help.

Thank you

If you have tables in mysql they will not reflect in Hadoop or Hive unless you run sqoop import.

Have you tried running sqoop import? You need to create databases in hive or impala separately and then run sqoop import to get data over there.
