Getting error in running flume -ng

When i try to run flume installation as follows, I get an error as below… I have checked that the file example.conf is available in the folder named “conf”…

Can you pls help me understand the possible reason for the error… It appears that some file might be missing… but i m unable to figure out which file…

flume-ng agent --name a1 – conf /home/cloudera/flumePract/conf – conf-file /home/cloudera/flumePract/conf/example.conf

It could be because of space after hyphens in the command. Try this code - > flume-ng agent --name a1 --conf /home/cloudera/flumePract/conf --conf-file /home/cloudera/flumePract/conf/example.conf

There is typo in your command. You are using – conf instead of –conf. There is space between – and conf.
