How to import the workspace from eclipse to the big data labs to operate?

As in the video shown in SPARK scala IDE eclipse, they go directly to the workspace… but in our case how will we import the same.

How my local workspace will be accessed inside the big data labs

Or after running the sbt eclipse command

How to choose the same directory - root directory from big data labs into scala IDE eclipse??

Please elaborate?

hello have you followed the steps correctly.

step1: Create folder for your program in command prompt (ex: mkdir dailyRevenue)
step2: go to the folder and then create the folders like src/main/scala using the command “mkdir -p src/main/scala” (in case of windows … refer windows commands).
step3 : create build.sbt file under “dailyRevenue” folder and enter required information as mentioned in video.
step4 :run the command under “dailyRevenue” folder… “sbt eclipse”
step5:

sample build.sbt file ocntent:

name := “demo-spark-scala”
version := “1.0”
scalaVersion := “2.11.8”
libraryDependencies += “org.apache.spark” % “spark-core_2.11” % “1.6.2”
libraryDependencies += “com.typesafe” % “config” % “1.3.0”

prior to this you have to setup environment for eclipse… Follow the below links.

But at the end, from scala ide eclipse he goes to choose the workspace from the root directory to import the workspace generated by sbt eclipse

I am having confusion here …How to choose this root directory?

And also my scala IDE version is :slight_smile:

So it this plugin which I have given … Is it Fine ?
addSbtPlugin(“com.typesafe.sbteclipse” % “sbteclipse-plugin” % “4.0.0”)
