Not able to see enabled shared folder content in Cloudera vm

Share folder content is not seen under /mount or /media folder in Vm.
Trying to uninstall vmware-tools & re-install it again.
While uninstalling getting below error

[root@quickstart bin]# ./vmware-uninstall-tools.pl
Uninstalling the tar installation of VMware Tools.

Unable to find the answer OPEN_VM_COMPAT in the installer database
(/etc/vmware-tools/locations). You may want to re-install VMware Tools.

Execution aborted.

I am not sure about it. I typically use scp to copy the files.

On Windows, I use cygwin with scp.
