pyspark-SyntaxError: invalid syntax

In PySpark, syntax error is thrown when I try to assign the map function on an RDD to another variable. But, performing the map function without assigning gives the expected result. Please help me to resolve the issue?

Using Python version 2.6.6 (r266:84292)

ordersParsedRDD = ordersRDD.map(lambda rec: (int(rec.split(",")[0]), rec))

;
File “”, line 1
;
^
SyntaxError: invalid syntax

ordersRDD.map(lambda rec: (int(rec.split(",")[0]), rec)).take(10);

Looks there is no syntax error on this line, however please post us ordersRDD creation

@M.Ashok_Kumar From the error log I can see semi-colon(; ) at the end of line and which is not not needed there as you are using python.
